Vision
Our Global Studies Academy was established in 1999 with a focus on building Global citizens and leaders. The vision of Arvida Middle School’s Global Studies Magnet Program, is to cultivate global mindfulness and confident leadership in our students as citizens who value environmental conservation. The Global Program will provide students with a rigorous S.T.E.A.M. curriculum inside the classroom, a safe and pleasant social experience, and meaningful student led service-learning opportunities for real world connections.
About Our Magnet
Our mission is to instill positive values of deep moral and ethical respect for the citizens of the world and the natural environment. Our students are nurtured to become leaders who are able to identify real-life challenges affecting our immediate community and to propose and create solutions to address those challenges through meaningful service-learning activities.
Global Academy strives to create a well-rounded learning experience for our students by infusing the Global theme activities throughout their classes and by engaging in the design and operations of multiple meaningful community service led projects. Our curriculum extends out from the classroom and into the community allowing our students to begin developing their leadership experience and to expand their true influential potential to make meaningful real-world contributions.
Arvida’s Global Academy students are proposing and making global change a daily adventure inside our beautiful school campus.
